Not for the faint hearted!!!

It has been a while since I last blogged, no excuses really. My move to Jamaica has really taken a lot out of me, no motivation to do anything :( really not a nice feeling.

We have now finally received all our boxes from England, so I am very happy to have all my art things. Now I just have to get into that creative way of thinking again.

What else has happened to me? Well a few weeks ago I found this strange 'bite' on my foot. Well after going to the doctor I found out that I have a parasite in my foot called hookworm. Not a good feeling to know that you have a worm living in your foot. I took some tablets and put some cream on the area and it has now gone, I think :-l
Apparently hookworm is quite common in Jamaica, you get it when you walk in infected sand.

For anyone interested in knowing what a hookworm in your foot looks like here are some pics.

Started at the bottom of my foot and you can see how it is working its way up

Still hadn't been to the doctor at this point, was really hoping it would clear up

When it started working its way up even more I thought this was definitely not going to clear by itself.
I wish everyone a wonderful week. I hope I an get back into my creating so that I can share some things with you.

Bye for now
Tanya

Ow that foot looks sore and what an awful thing to have happen. Thank goodness you got medication for it. I will look forward to pictures of the new home and the wonderful new creations your new digs inspire!
Have a lovely day and take care!

  3. Oh dear Tanya, I would have passed away from fright after seeing that thing crawling through my foot. Bless you. I really do hope that it's gone, now! A wonderful week to you, as well.
